Meet the staff of Plymtree School
The children interviewed all the staff at the school. This is what they think of us!

Mrs Fay Mrs Fay is our headteacher and has been teaching for over 30 years. In that time she has taught at lots of different schools. She has been working at Plymtree Primary school for over 20 years. Her previous job, when she was at college, was a waitress. The reason for being a teacher is because she likes children and she wants to make a difference. She has 1 son and 1 daughter, who both used to come to Plymtree School. “I like Mrs Fay because she is always smiling and is never unkind.”
Mrs Cutler Mrs Cutler lives in Cullompton. She has taught at 3 schools and likes all of them. Her favourite subjects are maths, french and P.E. Her favourite food is goat's cheese! Mrs Cutler has lots of hobbies and sport is one of them. She loves coaching netball and football. Her favourite colour is purple! Mrs Cutler's hobbies are going to the gymn, reading, having fun with friends and family and holidays! “I like Mrs Cutler because she never loses her cool.” “I like Mrs Cutler because she is very understanding.”
Mrs Francis Mrs Francis travels to Plymtree Primary school to do her job teaching. Mrs Francis’ hobbies are walking on beaches, films, books, national trust, shopping and the theatre. In her spare time she takes kids for bike rides and to parks. “I like Mrs Francis because she is always there when you need her.” “She is a very kind person and a good teacher”.
Mrs Benmayor Mrs Benmayor is married, has 2 daughters and enjoys teaching all different subjects. Her hobbies are reading, walking and dancing. In her spare time she helps out at her local church, and at Kentisbeare Sunday school. Her favourite food is steak and she wishes she could be a singer. She has been teaching for over 30 years. Her favourite colour is blue and she wants to be better at sport. “We like Mrs Benmayor because she is kind and caring.”
Mrs Lockhart Mrs Lockhart likes playing badminton, tennis, walking and climbing mountains. She also likes jogging. Mrs Lockhart likes eating chocolate and listening to music. Mrs Lockhart has one boy and 2 girls. She lives in Sidmouth. Mrs Lockhart first came to teach at Plymtree Primary school in 1993. "Mrs Lockhart is a really nice gentle person. She suits class one really well because she is really kind to them and I think they like her very much. The same as I do!!"
Maggie Maggie is the school secretary and would like to be a nice Anne Robinson and would like to drive a Mercedes. Her hobby is gardening and she also likes a nice cup of coffee. Her favourite colour is blue and she loves roses. Maggie would like to work with adults in a community if she did not work at this school. Maggie is always around, cheerful and always smiling. “I like Maggie because she always lets you borrow things.”
Mrs. Spencer Mrs Spencer has been the school administrator at Plymtree for a long time. She likes equestrianism and gardening. She wanted to work at Plymtree because her 2 children were at Plymtree so she thought it would be nice to help out there. Mrs Spencer loves working at Plymtree and does many things in her spare time. “She is kind and polite and is willing to help out when she can.” “ She is very helpful to everybody.”
Mrs Batten Mrs Batten loves the school and is great with children. Mrs Batten lives on the outskirts of Plymtree and it takes her about five minutes to drive to school. Mrs Batten is a Teaching Assistant and loves helping the classes do work and she especially enjoys doing history and geography. Mrs Batten gets along fine with all the other jolly teachers. Outside school Mrs Batten reads and knits in her spare time. “Mrs Batten is a nice peaceful lady and is great with the all children!” “I like Mrs Batten because she is very funny and helpful.”
Mrs Killen Mrs Killen works in all the classes. She lives with her husband Warren and 2 daughters. She has been a vegetarian for 18 years. Her favourite food is guacamole and black olives and Italian food, and her favourite drink is elderflower cordial. Mrs Killen supports Arsenal football Team. If she didn't work for Plymtree her other choice of work would be a physiotherapist at Arsenal. Mrs Killen enjoys watching Arsenal winning, and programmes on history and space. She likes reading about different countries and interesting places. Her favourite holiday area is anywhere tropical. In her spare time she likes swimming and walking in countryside.
Mr Walker Mr Walker’s favourite sport is rugby and he supports Bristol. He likes working in all the classes in the school. His favourite animal is a monkey. His hobbies are cycling and canoeing.His favourite pop stars are Dido and Scissor Sisters. He likes curry and polite children.
Mrs McLear Mrs McLear helps in Oak. She is very kind and helpful. She lives in Cullompton with her four children; one of the children goes to Plymtree School. Mrs McLear is nearly always smiling and she likes to crack jokes!
Elaine Godfrey Elaine's hobbies are horse riding, knitting, dancing and drinking. Elaine's favourite meal to cook is roast dinner, because everyone eats it! She cooks for around 48 people on a week day, but sometimes for 90 for something like Christmas dinners. She works at school for 5 hours, and at home she works for 2 hours doing paper work. She came to this school to improve the standard of the school lunches. Elaine said that she realised that she was good at cooking when her husband got fat. Elaine's favourite food is all food!
Mrs Edwards Mrs Edwards works at Plymtree school and works as a dinner lady, and the school caretaker. She went to la saint union university and she was born at Plymouth hospital. Before she moved to Plymtree she lived in Exeter. “I like Mrs Edwards because she is very nice and kind”
Mrs Churchill Mrs Churchill is a mealtime assistant . She has experience with kids and she likes her job. At school Mrs Churchill likes good manners; she does not like rude children. When Mrs Churchill is not at school she likes to do crosswords. Her favourite colour is black. Her favourite drink is tea. Mrs Churchill likes sweets; she has never been on a diet, and she does not like ice cream and sausages. She likes class Pine best; her favourite number is 13. She does not like sports.
Andy Cook Andy is our handyman; he is very good at fixing things. Andy lives in Plymtree and helps us when we need a DIY job doing.
Mrs Sally Bloomfield Mrs Bloomfield is a mealtime assistant.
Ms Helen Bussell Ms Bussell is a teaching and mealtime assistant.
Mrs Triff Morris Mrs Morris is a teaching and mealtime assistant.
