World War II day
World War 2 day in Pine – Tuesday 25th May 2010
Well done to all the children in Pine who dressed up and joined in all the activities so enthusiastically. We were visited by an ARP warden and an Exeter City Police Officer who talked about their duties and experiences during the war. They were so very impressed by the efforts the children had gone to with their costumes and props. Children had spent time researching clothes of the era. Activities included a Morse code workshop, ARP training and an air raid experience. Children were also given the opportunity to examine real items from the era.
