Friendly match against the Duchy

High Fives

On Wednesday, (10/03/2010), we took our first and second teams to play Bradninch in 2 friendly games. We were all aware that Bradninch are really good High 5 players and are very challenging opponents; so we thought we would have a tough time.  All of our players were FANTASTIC! Both teams really put in a lot of effort and we won both games!! Yeah!! Go Plymtree!!

Our second team played first, Chelsie, Natalie, Lottie, Jemma, Issy and Sophie. They were fab and won 7-0!! Goals came from Lottie, Sophie, Issy, Jemma and Natalie.

We thought Bradninch had saved their star players for the first team match, so Phoebe, Matt, Fin, Georgia and Christie took their positions with perhaps a little apprehension but gritted teeth and determination!! It paid off! We won 3-0, Matt and Phoebe scored in the 2^nd quarter and then with seconds to go, in the last quarter, Matt made it a definite victory with a 3^rd. Needless to say, along with some excellent shooting, our defence was very strong. Perhaps a special mention should go to Finley, who despite having a very sore and bruised knee, played with huge determination and skill and was like a gazelle bounding around the court!
