Buckfast Abbey

On Tuesday, 15th June, Pine class went to Buckfast Abbey for a day of educational, but fun activities relating to our R.E. curriculum. This trip was funded by the St Wilfred’s trust and we travelled by coach.

Activities

The first activity was a Windows of Wonder workshop, where children looked at stained glass windows around the Abbey.

Then the pupils made a stained glass picture frame of their own.

After that we went to the church to meet a monk who talked to the children was interviewed by them. We ate our packed lunches outside in the wonderful grounds and then had supervised use of the education centre.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped and accompanied the children making the whole day such a success.
